Earth Identity Project

Together we will prevail

Earth Identity Project is working in conjunction with Direct Fresh & Thrive to provide short, medium and long term assistance for those worst affected by the flooding in Sylhet. The focus will be not just on short term relief but on long term rehabilitation.

Affected by the flood

The Situation in Sylhet

Due to torrential rainfall, more than 72% of Sylhet division is now under water. The unexpected flash floods have impacted more than 4.3 million people, leaving many isolated, while others have sought refuge in public spaces. With little access to food & clean water, the survival of these people are at stake.

Program Process

Relief Program

The relief program will be carried out in two phases.

  • Base Camp and Air Dome Construction

Our goal is to provide temporary shelter to the displaced population in an Air Dome, which is 35,000 sq.ft. in size and can easily accommodate at least 50 to 70 families who have lost their homes. Containers will be used to set up several stations such as kitchens, toilets, a lab for PCR tests, medical storage, supply storage, and a control room.

  • Care Package

Care packages will be distributed among families who have been directly affected by the flood. Each package will include several food items and non-food items.

  • Community Building

We will build low cost housing and e-stores for families who have lost their homes. Families will be provided monthly rations for free.

Now more than ever, we need to come together as human beings and help those most in need
